If you would like to become a Homesitter

We recruit fit and active, mature, responsible people who would enjoy occasional opportunities to move in and care for homeowners’ properties and pets while the owners are away. Many homesits include the care of pets, so a liking for dogs and/or cats and some hands-on experience is a great asset (but you may not take a pet on a homesit).

We require applicants to be generally available throughout the year but not looking for regular salaried employment. Whilst we have no age limits, our sitters are mainly in their 50s and 60s having retired from a wide range of occupations – and all are securely settled in their own homes.

We are looking for more sitter applicants and would be delighted to hear from you. However, to avoid disappointment, we would advise you to read all the pages on our website detailing what homesitting offers, our rules, frequent questions etc before proceeding. With regret, we will not respond to any applications which fail to meet our criteria.

Because of the sensitive and confidential nature of the service we provide it is essential that our clients have complete trust in us. All potential Homesitters are subject to strict vetting procedures and we meet all prospective Sitters (including partners) to discuss home and pet sitting in detail. It is important for us to know our Sitters’ likes and dislikes, so that we can be sure to offer them assignments which they will enjoy. These interviews usually take place at our head office to enable applicants to meet as many of our administrative staff as possible.
