“Read a Dog – Free”
Excellent freebie available at www.homesitters.co.uk
If you’re ever unsure about a dog’s intentions, Homesitters® are offering a free illustrated guide to dog assessment, how to play safe with an unknown pooch, and what not to do.
Apparently, dogs can be irritated by hats, dark glasses, and flapping coats (so why don’t they stop wearing them?).
The Homesitters® site offers illustrations of dogs (unclothed!), and lots of tips on recommended procedures. (Tip 1 – watch the corner of the dog’s mouth – it should be relaxed; tip 2 – when a clenched fist is non-threatening.)
So – postmen, vicars, nervous suitors:
If you’re ever faced with a dog and you’re unsure whether to shake its paw or threaten its life with a railway share – have a look at the Homesitters’ newsroom.
