If you’re ever unsure about a dog’s intentions, Homesitters® are offering a free illustrated guide to dog assessment, how to play safe with an unknown pooch, and what not to do.

The Homesitters® site offers illustrations of dogs (unclothed!), and lots of tips on recommended procedures. (Tip 1 – watch the corner of the dog’s mouth – it should be relaxed; tip 2 – when a clenched fist is non-threatening.)
So – postmen, vicars, nervous suitors:
If you’re ever faced with a dog and you’re unsure whether to shake its paw or threaten its life with a railway share – have a look at the Homesitters’ newsroom.
