Book a homesitter for the school holiday getaways
Posted on 26 June, 2017
The school holidays can be a frantic time, especially when it comes to planning a holiday.
With so much to think about, it’s no surprise that some people often forget until the last minute they also need to sort out someone to look after their pet(s).
As July and August are the peak holiday season, they may find that family and friends that usually help them out aren’t available. A last resort could be dog kennels or catteries, however, many are reluctant to leave their much-loved family pet in an unfamiliar environment.
One of the best solutions for their peace of mind and for the wellbeing of their pet is to employ a live-in homesitter. Not only does this allow the pet to stay at home, but their home will also be looked after and secure.
With rates of burglary often increasing during the summer months, it makes sense to ensure a home is occupied as a preventative measure.
The pets will be happier too! Most pets and particularly dogs don’t like any disruption to their routines, and when their owners go away, it can be a stressful time for them. An option for them is to stay at home and be looked after by a homesitter, who will stick to their usual routine and familiar walks, which can make the situation much easier.
Many of clients use regular homesitters because the pets get to know them so well, so in the end, it becomes just like having a family friend to stay!
