We’d like to wish everyone a very happy festive season and lots of cheer for the New Year. This year has been a busy one for all our homesitters who have enjoyed taking care of our client’s homes and pets as the UK got back to normality after the Covid years.

Holidays were very much back on the agenda so our services were in high demand. We’d like to say a big thank you to all our homesitters and clients who have supported us throughout the year and we look forward to working with you all again next year.

A little reminder for our homesitters is the £150 reward for successfully introducing a homesitter (or client) to our services. Clients can also benefit from £150 if they introduce a new client (or homesitter) to our services.

As one national supermarket chain says “Every little helps” and we know that with the cost of living impacting everyone’s lives at the moment, this is even truer this year.

If there are any retirees who are looking for a way to boost their pension income next year then why not consider becoming a homesitter? We expect another busy year in 2023 as more people want to head off on holiday.

Our homesitters are usually retired people who want to try something new, see more of the UK and spend time caring for people’s pets. Looking after a client’s homes and pets when they go on holiday is a great flexible role that can be fitted around other commitments.

It’s a way to make a little bit of extra money in a job that doesn’t feel much like work at all! In fact most of our homesitters would agree it’s a bit like going on lots of mini holidays where accommodation is free and they get to enjoy time with pets.

Home and pet sitters are employed directly by Homesitters Ltd. While on assignment, homesitters receive a daily food allowance and travel expenses (both tax-free), and earn a modest remuneration. Homesitters can also make savings on their energy bills especially those that do a lot of assignments during the winter months.

Homesitters provides employer’s liability insurance too, plus 24 hour support (this is a human, not a telephone answering machine!) whilst people are on assignment.

We’re actively recruiting now to get ready for the busy winter and spring holiday season. To read more about becoming a homesitter and to apply click here.
