"This week, my partner and have returned from holidaying in Greece and wanted to let you know how pleased we were with our latest Home sitters service.
During our two weeks away a calamity happened, the immersion tank failed which created a mini flood during one night. Our homesitters dealt with the emergency coolly and calmly sorting out a plumber who not only performed the emergency action but then followed through with a complete replacement and restitution activity. The benefit of having a homesitter was immediately realised, given that the house would have had a flood of at least 10 days’ worth of flowing water! What a return home we’d have had if your service hadn’t been available!
Besides that invaluable service, once again our homesitters were tremendous in looking after our dogs, who adored being ‘left’ with them - I think the dogs were almost disappointed to see us return! The house was immaculately clean and fresh flowers in the kitchen were there to greet us.

"As my husband and I work from home our pets are used to us being there all day, so companionship is very important for them when we’re away. I wouldn’t put them in a kennel and cattery as it would be too much of a disruption – Bilbo prefers the company of humans to other dogs!

I would absolutely recommend Homesitters. Nothing is ever a problem for them, everyone in the office is so efficient and helpful, and we can rely on them to provide a homesitter at the eleventh hour if needed. All the homesitters we have met have been very competent - warm and friendly people who genuinely like animals.
We live in the countryside and as Bilbo is a Border Collie he needs lots of exercise. In the winter it gets muddy so we need someone who doesn’t mind taking a muddy walk – and then hosing down a muddy dog when they get back! Homesitters always finds someone who fits the bill!"

"When we first used Homesitters we had a very elderly cat who could no longer jump up to her favourite spot on the cupboards in the utility room where she liked to look out the window. When we returned from our holiday we were touched to discover that our homesitters had built a ladder for the cat to climb up on to the cupboard!
We believe that using Homesitters is money well spent and we just include the cost as part of our holiday budget. After all, we chose to have animals so we have to look after them properly. We know that they’ll be well looked after and taken for lots of walks while we’re away and that with Homesitters’ 24/7 support service no problem would be unsurmountable.
We also find it reassuring that the house is occupied while we’re away. We have an alarm system but nothing compares to having someone staying in the house. Ultimately it feels like having family come to stay."

"This is the second time Pam has looked after Lottie for two weeks at a time, the first of which being September/October and the second of which being April/May. I genuinely could not have asked for a sweeter, kinder, and clearly a great dog lover; I simply couldn't believe my luck!! Pam came to meet me and Lottie before the first homesit, and I could tell she was going to be thorough, conscientious and responsible through and through, which she WAS! So many of my fellow dog walkers commented on how lovely she was, how frequently they had seen her out walking with Lottie, and that it was quite obvious, when Pam turned up at the house for my April holiday, that Lottie was delighted to see her, and instantly dropped the ball at Pam's feet. She kept in touch with me while I was on holiday to give me updates, and the house was PERFECT on my return, with Pam even stripping the bed she slept in, and washing the bedding. WOW! Over and beyond does not even come anywhere near to it. The entire Homesitters service was so professional, friendly and competent."

"Isobel was once more exceptional. She’s like a part of our family, we trust her totally with the house and the dogs. The gardeners and cleaner at the house love her. As we aren’t there we don’t get to see them too much, but she makes them tea, has them in and generally is the perfect hostess! George the old gardener is continually telling me what a fine cup of tea she makes! She has integrated herself into our local community, has friends locally and participates in local things like coffee mornings etc.
She had a bit of an issue with Kevin who got in a fight (totally not Isobel’s fault under any circumstance) and dealt with it perfectly, got him sorted out with no fuss. It was a nasty bite, however she handled it even more perfectly, didn’t make a fuss but told us the facts not sparing details, but not making a drama. She was calm and professional and we were reassured 100% that everything was OK.
We are blessed having her and very grateful indeed to you for providing her.
