Congratulations to our DogFest winners!!
Posted on 18 April, 2019
We’re delighted to announce the five worthy winners of our DogFest competition. These lucky dogs and their owners will be off for a fantastic day out at this year’s DogFest, the UK’s ultimate summer festival for dogs.
We asked people to send through a photo of their dog and tell us what they love about them. We were inundated with entries, so it was hard to choose. But finally we picked five lovely winners. Here they are and what their owners had to say about them:
Jake owned by Anonymous
“Jake is a rescue dog who was our little rock when our cats passed suddenly last year. He loves going to dog school and proving that old dogs can learn new tricks! We would love to treat our boy to a day at Dogfest.”
Dougie owned by Sharon Nowell
“I would rather cuddle up with my dog than my husband. AND my husband knows it as well!!"
BooDog (our Princess’ black Cockerpoo) & Snorff (our ‘nutty’ Wheaten Terrier) owned by Anonymous
“They love us when we’re happy
They love us when we’re down
They love us when we are smiling
They love us when we frown
They love us when we feed them
They love us when we won’t ……give them…… crisps
No matter what, they love us 24/7.”
Lucky owned by Ann Bates
“My Lucky is now 15 years old, we got him at 8 weeks old. He is very intelligent, friendly and a very good dog. Ten years ago my husband was attending hospital for cancer treatment. He was left at home from 10 am to 4pm for almost a month. But he was good boy, looked after house and understood the situation. All I can say he is lovely dog.”
Ellie Allen and her adorable pooch who wishes to remain anonymous
All these winners will receive a pair of complimentary tickets. Congratulations to them all and we look forward to meeting some of them at Hertfordshire DogFest.
DogFest is taking place at Knebworth, Hertforshire on 11th and 12th May, at Tatton Park, Cheshire 15th and 16th June and Ashton Court, Bristol on 22nd and 23rd June. It's a great day out for all dogs and owners with special guests Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and Clare Balding.
There will be arena displays and demonstrations, expert advice on caring for your pooch, have-a-go activities for you and your dog to get involved in, shopping, music, festival food, and so much more. Even better, dogs go free!
For those not lucky enough to win our competition there are still tickets available here.
Homesitters will be at the Herefordshire DogFest too, so please come along and say hello. We will be on stand 42. See you there!
