It is with deep regret that we inform you that the DogFest Knebworth House event scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled due to the extreme weather conditions that could impact on the lives of the attending dogs.

DogFest organisers have communicated: “Animal welfare is a high priority for DogFest and despite our intentions of going above and beyond to make sure that everyone that attends DogFest is comfortable and in a safe environment, by providing extra shade, water and splash pools and even extra vets to help with animal welfare needs, it still remains a high risk. DogFest have been in direct contact with the Met Office over the last few days and have received temperature readings for Knebworth on Saturday and Sunday of up to 30 degrees, with no wind and high humidity. These temperatures are too high risk for an event for dogs.”

Hopefully the event may be rescheduled for later in the year. Otherwise regretfully, it will be deferred to 2019.
