British holiday for homesitters

Staycations are still proving popular with British people. The World Travel Market’s 2015 Industry Report[i] listed Britain in the top three holiday destinations for 2015 – and it remains a top three holiday of choice for people considering where to holiday this year too.

The report quotes figures from VisitEngland which highlights that British people took 18.3 million holiday trips in England from January to June 2015.

With so many beautiful parts of the UK to explore, it’s easy to see why many people are drawn to holidaying at home.

Staycations often appeal the most to retired people who love to travel but who don’t necessarily want the hassle of going overseas.

For those keen to combine travelling in the UK with a flexible, part time job, then home and pet sitting can be a perfect role.

At Homesitters Ltd we employ over 1,000 dedicated homesitters who look after people’s pets and homes when they are away and many of our homesitters are retired.

With clients dotted all over the UK, the role offers a fantastic opportunity for people to travel and experience new adventures. Our assignments could be located anywhere from John O’Groats to Land’s End, so homesitters may find themselves in a remote farmhouse one week or a chic urban apartment or luxury bungalow by the sea the next. No two assignments are the same and this is a major part of the attraction.

To meet increased demand from clients, we’re on the lookout for more retired, active people who love pets and travel to join us. So if you fancy more staycations whilst being paid a modest income, then please get in touch.
