12. Discover the wonderful wildlife and glorious gardens of the Isles of Scilly

These pristine islands 28 miles from the coast of Cornwall are a brilliant destination for wildlife lovers. The largest island, St Mary’s, is where the majority of the 2,200 Scillonians live, and can be easily reached by ferry from Penzance.
