Have a cracking good Easter

Easter Guinea Pig

The Easter holidays are early this year, with Easter Sunday falling on 27th March. In January there was a debate surrounding whether Easter should fall on the same date each year. The Archbishop of Canterbury said he would “love” to see Easter become a fixed-date holiday.

There is no doubt it can cause confusion and would make much more sense for parents and schools if it fell on the same date just like Christmas.

Every year we experience a last minute surge in bookings at this time of year as people decide to go away at Easter and forget to check the date.

This year will be the same as the Easter holidays are early and if you haven’t already booked your Homesitter to ensure your home is secure and any pets are looked after, then we suggest getting in touch as soon as possible.

In previous years, VisitEngland has suggested that 3.4 million people take an Easter break involving at least one overnight stay and according to the Association of British Travel Agents around 1.8 million of them will travel overseas.

That’s a lot of empty homes left unattended and pets that need looking after.

We employ over 1,000 Homesitters who are highly experienced and reliable. They are passionate about their roles and carry out their assignments with the utmost diligence. The holiday periods are our busiest times and there is high demand for Homesitters already for Easter.

Our Homesitters know this, so many make sure they are available during the Easter holidays to ensure we can fulfil all our clients’ requests. Our Homesitters get great job satisfaction because they love to travel, enjoy new experiences and adore pets and domestic animals, so they often feel like they are on a mini-holiday themselves!

Happy Easter everyone!
