Up until recently, UK home buyers and sellers have put their property moves on hold, with research conducted by Zoopla showing 41% of home movers across Britain taking a step back.

However with restrictions lifted on May 13th, inquiries to agents on properties have seen a rise of roughly 88 per cent, but Zoopla research director expects this to subside.

Should you find yourself in a scenario where you're unable to move into your new home until the sale of your old home has been completed, or have moved into your new home and have you old home sitting empty waiting to be sold, don't forget to check your home insurance policy as many don't allow a property to remain unoccupied for more than 30 days.
